Rosie turned one month old this week and she is doing quite well. She told me so actually...she leaned over while being fed, grabbed the bottle from my hand, and said, "Dad, I got this. I'm not a baby anymore." Wow, I can't believe how fast they grow up.
Anyway,
Rosie has been an awesome addition to our growing family so far. She
really is looking like Monica did when Mo was a baby. We went to the
doctor's office for her one month check up yesterday and she weighed in at 8lb
4 oz and 21.25 inches. She is in the 25th percentile for weight and the
50th percentile for height. So far, she is projected to be tall and
thin...I wonder where she gets that trait from? Our pediatrician is great! He is a very good doctor and we are very happy with him and his guidance. Although, I am not a big fan of the patient care room's decor. Our pediatrician happens to be a huge Star Wars fan so the room is decorated like a little boy's bedroom from the late 70's. We are talking Sky-walker and Darth Vader action figures, framed memorabilia, autographed items, movie trailer posters....the whole Chi-bang. That is a little strange for me but I can handle it knowing the Doc is a cool guy. However, it's awkward holding a conversation about the baby's torticollus (head tilt) while a Yoda doll is staring me in the face. Since I am staring and focused on the doll while the doc's talking it is almost like the Yoda doll himself is giving medical advice to me directly. The Force is with you Rosie...you are a healthy one month old.
Last Sunday, I did not get a chance to write a blog post because we were having Rosie's first photo shoot. I figure it won't be her last since she will be tall and thin like Daddy. She can be a supermodel and pay for our retirement mansion in the Cayman's. Altogether, she was did all of the supermodel faces in the photo shoot...smiling face, pouty face, sleepy face, hungry face, give me my damn bottle face! All in all, that was a fun experience and some of the pics are below.
See ya Soon!
